Background
Shelly Teders is an expert in Process Improvement techniques (mapping, analyzing and re-engineering processes) and Primavera scheduling software. Shelly has had extensive experience in the home building industry in various capacities ranging from Closing Coordinator to V.P. of Process Control and Division Manager. With first hand experience managing a volume production home building division, Shelly understands the challenges faced by owners and managers within this industry. She is currently one of the resident experts in Process Improvement methodologies, Total Quality Management techniques, project facilitation and construction scheduling techniques.

Shelly began her career in the home building industry after graduating from Manchester College and has worked with builders with volumes ranging from 70 homes a year to 1,500. She began working with MH Const Management, a first-time homebuilder closing over 1000 homes per year with four separate divisions; she then was recruited by the Indianapolis Division President of Zaring Homes, a National Company with six divisions building semi-custom, production and custom homes. Shelly has been instrumental in assisting clients such as Arvida Homes, building custom, semi-custom/production homes, and the Jones Company, of Nashville, building production and semi-custom homes. Shelly has also assisted companies with Project Management and facilitation. She facilitated Conseco Financial Services with company consolidations and acquisitions.

Project Highlights
Centralized Scheduling and Even-Flow Implementation

Shelly has successfully implemented centralized scheduling and the theory of even flow within several building companies. With her hands-on knowledge within the homebuilding industry combined with her process improvement expertise, our home building clients have achieved tremendous improvement in cycle-time reduction, increasing inventory turnover, improving customer satisfaction, improving work flow and measuring job status.

Motivational and Educational Training

Shelly has designed and currently conducts excellent training courses and management seminars to help clients reach their goals. Courses such as Building on Efficiency specifically designed with the target audience in mind: including Sales, Production, Office and Management. Introduction to Homebuilding through Primavera is another course designed and taught by Shelly. This hands-on course teaches Process fundamentals, TQM, even flow, and the fundamentals of Primavera.

Project Facilitation and Marketing Research

Shelly is an expert in facilitating and managing large and small projects and meetings to ensure main objectives are achieved, responsible parties are identified, proper documentation is completed and goals are attained within the time-line desired. Shelly has assisted numerous companies with a wide variety of projects, monitoring both day-to-day tasks or simply providing guidance to project managers to ensure successful project completion.

Education
Shelly has a bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a major in Business Management. She has enriched herself with continuing education in the areas of employee development, organization, Sales techniques and technological training. Shelly continues to advance her knowledge through conferences, seminars, professional contacts and reading.

Hobbies
Shelly has many favorite past times including reading on various subjects such as business, religion and management. Her sports interests include tennis, golf and running mini-marathons. Spending quality time with family and friends and helping others is Shelly's life long priority.
